Location

Gosau is 60 kms south-east of Salzburg, in Austria. 45 minutes by car. The apartment is located centrally in the Gosau valley, at 760m, within the Vitalhotel hotel complex.

It is at the end of the lane and just over a small river, 500m off the valley's main road. The unnamed lane is opposite the Raiffeisenbank, 40m west of the junction of the B166 and the B1291, in the village centre,

'Tauern autobahn' A10 (Motorway, running North-South, to west of area): Exit Golling or St. Martin - direction Gosau B166

Coming from the direction of Graz: A9 (Motorway) via Liezen - Bad Aussee - Bad Goisern - Gosau

Austrian laws require drivers to buy a Motorway toll card, which costs about €7.50 for 10 days. Winter tyres must be fitted from Mid November - April.

By Plane

The nearest airport is at Salzburg, 65km away (50 minutes). From here you may hire a car, take the train + bus (via Golling), or take a taxi.

By Bus & Train

Buses run frequently,between all local towns and villages: Hallstatt, Bad Ischl, Obertraun to the east, and Golling, Abtenau and Salzburg to the west.

Buses from Salzburg to Gosau travel on the South route via Golling and on the East route via St Wolfgang and Bad Ischl. One change is required.
